Honey-Dos

All Josh and I did this past weekend was just basically curl up on the couch under blankets and watch movies and have a Season One Lost marathon. Josh did attend Wally Ball practice with a group of the guys from the station on Friday who've all entered into a local tournament together. I'd never heard of the game until Friday, so watching them play in the tournament should be interesting! I'm really looking forward to watching the games, Josh said it was really fun.

Yesterday was kind of a "Honey-Do" day for us.
Honey-Do #1: Saturday my new bird feeders came in the mail and yesterday we put up hangers and hung them up on the balcony.

Honey-Do #2: The weather stripping on our apartment door was really old and we had a constant breeze blowing through. My last attempt to block it was by putting up masking tape up, top to bottom, which looked aweful, you can imagine! We could have requested the maintainance man to fix it but he's pretty forgetful and I think Josh was wanting a project anyway, so we made a trip to Home Depot. It was quite a mess when Josh had finished but he did a great job. Its a good thing it got done when it did, we woke up to some light snow this morning and expect more as the week continues.

Yesterday was also Mork's 7th birthday! Mork is my little shih tzu for those of you who haven't met him. I rescued him when he was about 3 years old from a lady in Oregon who, I suspect, ran a borderline puppy mill. Mork was one of her studs that she decided she didn't want anymore. He's staying with my mom and Randy at the moment since Josh and I can't have pets in our apartment. All that said, my mom sent me the picture below yesterday. It made my day, Josh just laughed and rolled his eyes;)

For the last few days I have been trying to think of something I could make Josh for breakfast on the days he goes to the station that would be easy for him to manage during his drive. This morning was Trial #1: scrambled egg with bacon in a whole wheat pita pocket.
Apparentely it wasn't easy to manage, so I'll keep searching for something. Preferably nothing prepackaged. Any ideas?

This week another North American International Auto Show is in Detroit. The unveiling ceremonies of the new 2009 Dodge Ram truck have been a little rediculous. Yesterday there were fireworks, Dodge Brand beef jerky given to the crowds, singer Toby Keith, a cattledrive through downtown Detroit, and VPs and CEOs wearing Armani slacks and Carhart jackets...I thought it was pretty silly.
