Monday was the Coast Guard's 218th birthday so in celebration, Josh's station hosted a family picnic at Gross Point Farms Pier Park. There was an incredible amount of food, we met some new families and it seemed everyone had a good time. We were concerned about storms but they cleared off later in the afternoon. After a buffet-style lunch under a pavillion, we moved over to some picnic tables under shade trees by the river, the guys played volleyball for the rest of the afternoon. The last three pictures I snapped on our way home through Gross Point and Downtown Detroit. They're terrible quality, but I think they're so cute!
