These are some other pictures from my family's visit last month. One afternoon we walked through a little arts festival and later had a picnic in a very nice park right on the Detroit River. Josh happened to be underway and nearby so his boat came by and chatted with us for a few minutes before heading back to the station for dinner. As they were leaving, another Coast Guard boat came by (knowing we were there) and both boats gave us a quick little show, doing some fun turns. My family and the other picnickers really enjoyed that!The next day we went to Elizabeth Park to watch the SST-45 World Championship Race, or Roar on the River. It was fairly interesting, but because we didn't know anything about what was going on, we eventually lost interest and decided it was too hot to stay any longer.
