Home from the Hospital!

We're home and Josh's surgery went very well! It lasted about 1 1/2 hours and turns out his meniscus wasn't torn so they only operated on his left knee instead of both, repairing his ACL. We were in his room by noon and he felt great all day. I almost didn't get to stay with him overnight because of some administrator on a power-trip but Josh's doctor spoke to someone and pulled some strings for us, he's such a nice man. The nurses were really great too.

A mixture of being right across the hall from the nurse's station and sharing a semi-private room meant a very long night for us last night but at least we had a window view. Then our car almost got towed this morning, I guess we parked in the wrong section of the parking lot yesterday, but don't get me started on that...

We got home about 10am this morning and Josh was able to get up the stairs to our apartment pretty easily, it was the sidewalk that was tricky because of some ice patches here and there. We're so glad to be home and able to relax. Josh is getting around really well and isn't in much pain at all thanks to some great meds and frozen bags of corn.
