Last Thursday while Josh was working, the in-laws and I went to Downtown Detroit for a day of sightseeing. First stop: the
Detroit International Riverfront, which is quite a sight; home of the General Motors Headquarters in the Renaissance Center, Hart Plaza, right along the Detroit River and directly across from Windsor, Canada.
While we were enjoying the Riverfront we had the
opportunity to see two of the Coast Guard boats from Josh's station and a Coast Guard
helo in action and out on a case. While the circumstances for them being out were unfortunate, it was interesting to watch them work and to get a glimpse of what Josh does everyday.
